Estrella Warbirds Museum

Located at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport, the Museum is one of the few "fly-in or drive-in" facilities in the nation and has over 325 members. The Museum was chartered as a not-for-profit California ›Corporation in 1992, a 501(c.3) and is accredited with the US Departments of Navy and Air Force, as well as the state of California, as an organization approved to receive surplus aircraft and other government properties.

The Museum's has completed its initial general plan consisting of five buildings including a large hanger, the Al Schade Restoration Building, the Glen Thompson Meeting Hall, the Freedom Hall - which is the actual museum housing many displays and historical artifacts that have been acquired and lastly the Brooks Building a 5,000 sf of storage for restored vehicles and other artifacts.

Estrella WarBirds Museum has recently introduced their FA/18 Eagle Flight Simulator! The original FA/18 flight simulator has been upgraded with new software, plus located in a new room of our museum building, Freedom Hall.

At the History of Flight WarBirds Library one can look over the incredible number of books, journals, magazines, albums, tapes and DVD, available to read or view at the Library, or check-out and enjoy at home.

The Hind Foundation provided an $87,600 grant for improvements that includes enlarging the taxi way, a parking lot, adding hard stands for air craft on display and a cement pathway meandering in and around all air craft on display.
