Dan Krieger has been writing a weekly history article for the Tribune since 1984. It is the longest running series in the history of the newspaper. The 624 articles document much of the local history, its people and events that shape San Luis Obispo County, from the establishment of Missions San Luis Obispo and San Miguel de Archangel through the mid-Twentieth Century. The Hind Foundation provided a grant to the San Luis Obispo Historical Society to archive and index nearly twenty-five years of writing for libraries and museums.
