Santa Barbara Trust for Historical Preservation is the primary force in the reconstruction and preservation of El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park-Santa Barbara's 18th century birthplace-and Casa de la Guerra-the 1820s home of Santa Barbara patriarch José de la Guerra.
The Hind Foundation provide a grant of $150,000 for the restoration of the northwest corner project involving reconstruction of a large section of the western and northern defense walls enclosing a corner of the Presidio quadrangle, associated adobe yard walls, as well as stonework on Canon Perdido Street, marking the original foundations.
