Small Wilderness Area Preservation (S.W.A.P.) works to preserve important natural areas of undeveloped land or small wilderness areas of undeveloped land for the use and benefit of the general public. A current conservation project is to build an extension to the boardwalk into an oak grove that would be accessible to handicapped persons visiting the forest. The Hind Foundation provided $21,260. to enable the construction to be completed.
