Founded in 1993, Sustainable Conservation advances the stewardship of natural resources using innovative, pragmatic strategies that actively engage business and private landowners in conservation.
The Hind Foundation has provided a $15,000 grant to establish a permit coordination programthat will improve water quality and wildlife habitat in impaired watersheds and increase and educate local landowners about the opportunities, benefits, and responsibilities of enrolling in Partners in Restoration (PIR). Sustainable Conservation will also train partners to implement the PIR program and to initiate the first set of voluntary conservation and/or restoration projects on private lands.
