Restoration of the 1928 Skinner Organ Opus 701 in All Souls Chapel, Good Samaritan Hospital

The 1928 Skinner Organ Opus 701 in the All Souls Chapel at Good Samaritan Hospital is an instrument of significant musical and historical value. It has been cited by the Organ Historical Society of America as "Worthy of Preservation" and as a beautiful example of a small instrument built by the Skinner Organ Company.

The Skinner Organ will serve as the centerpiece of memorial services for hospital patients, will also be used for a series of community concerts, to be regularly scheduled for organ students to practice and to make All Souls Chapel the home base for the Echoes Above Concert Series which has brought classical music to intimate spaces throughout Los Angeles for the last several years.

The Hind Foundation has provided a grant for $25,000 to help in the restoration of the Skinner Organ.
