In 2011, the Hind Foundation granted $75,000 to the Nonprofit Support Center to keep the doors open for the remote San Luis Obispo location after the Santa Barbara headquarters closed its doors. The Nonprofit Support Center San Luis Obispo (NSCSLO) provides high quality, low-cost training, consulting services, and resource center assistance to hundreds of nonprofit organizations countywide. The granted funds have enabled the San Luis Obispo location to continue its operations and to fulfill a large need for nonprofit training and resources. NSCSLO works closely with nonprofits to identify their needs and offer programming organizational and business practices, such as financial stability, program development, and board development.
