Watershed Preservation Program

For Sustainable Conservation

In 2010, the Hind Foundation granted $15,000 to Sustainable Conservation to establish a Permit Coordination Program that will improve water quality and wildlife habitat in impaired watersheds throughout California and increase and educate local landowners about the opportunities, benefits, and responsibilities of enrolling in Partners in Restoration (PIR) program. The grant also covers Sustainable Conservation to train strategic partners to implement the PIR program and to initiate the first set of voluntary conservation and/or restoration projects on private lands.
