The Piedras Blancas Light Station site is composed of several significant buildings: the Light House (1875), Fuel and Storage Building (1907), Fog Signal Building (1906), Barn and a Victorian Cottage.

The Fog Signal Building, built in 1906, is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and is one of the significant historical buildings located on the 19 acre site. The restoration of this Fog Signal Building will be a major milestone in the overall restoration to the Light Station project. The Hind Foundation is pleased to have provided a grant of $125,000 to help bring to this building back to life.
